Hello!
So, you have registered for the 2008 U.S. Women’s
Triathlon Series. I can guarantee that no matter if this is your
very first triathlon or you’re a seasoned athlete, that
this one of a kind event will be exhilarating and gratifying!
In
the coming weeks, we will guide you as you prepare for your
race. Our weekly e-newsletters will provide straightforward
and practical tips on every aspect of your training from equipment
choices to what to expect come race morning. Our aim is to
inspire you and keep you focused on your training and about
being part of the U.S. Women’s Triathlon Series! |
These
newsletters will provide you with guidelines on swimming,
cycling and running,
as well as transitions, nutrition, and mental preparation. We
look forward to an

Lara Battalini

Lara
Battalini has been involved in competing and coaching endurance
athletes for the past 8 years. Since 1999, she has competed
in 2 Ironman distance races and raced in over 40 triathlon
and marathon events combined throughout the United States
and the Caribbean.
Lara holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the
University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a certified Spinning© Instructor,
Level 3 USA Cycling Instructor, and a USAT Level I Triathlon
coach. She currently coaches for Well-Fit Triathlon Training
Inc., creating programs for individuals as wells as groups.
Motivated by her passion for teaching others and the sport of
triathlon, she has trained over 100 athletes to success and enjoys
working with people of all levels.
Lara was born and raised in Chicago and works full-time as the
Director of Member Services for Lakeshore Athletic Clubs. Lara
lives on the north side of Chicago with her American Pit Bull
Terrier, Ginger, who also doubles as her running partner.
